    UDA meaning usafiri daresalaam.
These were mostly British Leyland buses, later Ikarus long buses were introduced from Hungary but they were not up to the heat, humidity and tough dar roads! There was also KAMATA kampuni ya mabasi Tanzania going upcountry with its headquaters at the still called kamata junction at gerezani, nowadays shoprite shopping mall among others!Man those were the days eh no daladala menace to be seen anywhere!plenty of power and water in dar in those days!Efficiency everywhere!
